My dispute has been reset and I was told not enough had been done to try to reach an agreement. It’s not possible for me and the agent/landlord to come to an agreement, what do I do?

In order for our caseworkers to be able to move this case on, they need to be able to see that you have made a real attempt to resolve it outside of us first. Either party can do this, but we recommend that you do it to make sure it is done.

The lead tenant will need to log into their TDS account and do the following:

  1. Click on “Update Repayment Request”
  2. Click on “It has not been possible to reach any further agreement”
  3. When asked if you have discussed the matter with your agent/landlord, select “Yes”.
  4. In the text box that appears, enter in some comments about what you have done to attempt to come to an agreement, and why it therefore has not been possible.
  5. Submit these comments

Once a caseworker checks the case again, if they see those comments and can deem that enough has been done to attempt to come to an agreement, they will progress the case into looking at evidence.
